This coming Saturday, April 29<\/span>th<\/span> and Sunday, April 30<\/span>th<\/span>, the country’s largest sustainable beauty event returns to the <\/span>Estaci\u00f3n Mapocho<\/span><\/i> Cultural Center, with around 100 exhibitors, workshops, talks, vegan food, and cruelty-free beauty space.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ecobelleza<\/span><\/i> Festival, an event that brings together companies, entrepreneurs, and environmentally friendly initiatives in one place, returns this April 29<\/span>th<\/span> and 30<\/span>th<\/span> with around 100 stands in four categories: cruelty-free products, zero waste culture, local handmade production, and vegan food. In addition, the activity will feature the presence of non-profit organizations and foundations that work for the environment and animals and promote values of equality.<\/span><\/p>\n

This 2023 the event will have various workshops, masterclasses, and artistic exhibitions that promote the values of the event, and a Cruelty-Free Beauty Space, where attendees can access makeup, manicures, and other beauty services in exchange for donations. \u201cWe are very happy to meet again at <\/span>Estaci\u00f3n Mapocho<\/span><\/i> after four years, because holding an <\/span>Ecobelleza<\/span><\/i> event in person and being able to bring together hundreds of initiatives that promote respect for animals and the environment, with thousands of people responsible for their daily consumption habits, is part of the mission of our NGO,\u201d said the Founder and General Director of <\/span>Te Protejo, Camila Cort\u00ednez<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>Ecobelleza<\/span><\/i> festival had its first version in 2014, and after 15 successful events, it paused its production due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These initiatives seek to promote responsible consumption among its attendees, offering environmentally friendly product alternatives, as well as workshops, talks, and activities that promote awareness around our daily consumption habits.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ecobelleza<\/span><\/i> 2023 Festival<\/span> will be held next Saturday 29<\/span>th <\/span>and Sunday 30<\/span>th<\/span> of April at the <\/span>Estaci\u00f3n Mapocho<\/span><\/i> Cultural Center from 12:00 to 19:00 hours, and is sponsored by the <\/span>Ministry of the Environment<\/span> and<\/span> the Municipality of Santiago. To access the event, there will be several ticket options starting at CLP 2,000, which will be a direct donation to the mission of NGO <\/span>Te Protejo<\/span><\/i> and its four areas of work: Awareness, Connection, Advocacy, and Certification.<\/span><\/p>\n

About <\/b>NGO Te Protejo<\/b><\/p>\n

Te Protejo<\/span><\/i> is a non-profit organization founded in 2012, whose mission is to promote the use of animal cruelty-free products. <\/span>Te Protejo<\/span><\/i> is the first organization in Latin America capable of certifying companies that don\u2019t test on animals, and more than 150 have already gone through its certification process, based on the model of international organizations such as Peta and Leaping Bunny. The NGO also consolidates the only list of brands available in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Per\u00fa, which have been verified as animal testing-free by certifying organizations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, it\u2019s the organization behind the #BeCrueltyFree Chile campaign that seeks to legislate to ban animal experimentation in the local cosmetics industry.<\/span><\/p>\n
