The first version of <\/span>Ladera Sur<\/span><\/i> Festival will be carried out on November 18<\/span>th<\/span>, 19<\/span>th<\/span> and 20<\/span>th<\/span>, and to inform, educate and reconnect are its main purposes. Through talks, workshops, live music, sustainable markets and naturalistic art, the expectation of this Festival is to bring together the most important entities that work, study and live for the preservation, the environment, and the sustainable life.<\/span><\/p>\n

The festival will have more than 100 experts and entities known in these fields. There will be renowned icons such as the astronomer Jos\u00e9 Maza, the surfer and activist Ram\u00f3n Navarro, the primatologist Isabel Bhenke, the geographer Marcelo Lagos, the Spanish economist and promoter of ethical banking Joan Mele, the mycologist and writer Giuliana Furci, the ecologist Juan Pablo Orrego, \u201cthe father of the outdoor education in Chile\u201d Rod Walker, among others.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, artists such as Gepe, Pascuala Ilabaca, Fernando Milagros, Max Zegers, Flores Silvestres, Mazap\u00e1n, Barco Volador, Babad\u00fa, among others, will perform on stage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Three stages, NGOs, entrepreneurs and more<\/b><\/h5>\n

More than 80 sustainable entrepreneurs are expected to participate in the <\/span>Mercado Bosque<\/span><\/i>, as well as more than 50 NGOs conforming the <\/span>Cofrad\u00eda Ambiental<\/span><\/i> (Spanish for environment guild), more than 100 speakers and the music bands in the 3 stages.<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, there will be workshops of illustration and photography of nature for children and adults, among other activities. Also, there will be a fair of selected documentaries about nature and environment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sustainability in the festival<\/b><\/h5>\n

The <\/span>Ladera Sur<\/span><\/i> Festival will make up for the impact of the event in the environment through several sustainable measures. Those measures considerate the management of waste with <\/span>Rembre<\/span><\/i> and the measurement of the Carbon Footprint with the <\/span>Cultiva<\/span><\/i> Corporation, which will contribute with the reforestation of the <\/span>Bosque Nativo<\/span><\/i>. Also, the exhibitors will be asked to reduce the garbage they might generate and to considerate the use of compostable packing, among other actions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the same time, people attending the festival are told to be involved in the process by preferring sustainable transport and bringing their own utensils like bottles and cutlery. It\u2019s noteworthy that those who use a bicycle to attend the festival will get a discount in their ticket.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, the people wanting to make a mayor contribution can donate 2,000 CLP when buying their ticket, which will be helpful for the native trees\u2019 reforestation the <\/span>Cultiva<\/span><\/i> Corporation will carry out to compensate for the Carbon Footprint.<\/span><\/p>\n

The tickets are already available through the <\/span>Ticketmaster<\/span><\/a>\u00a0system and they cost 10,000 CLP (for one day), 18,000 CLP (for two days) and 25,000 CLP (for the three days).<\/span><\/p>\n
