As we mentioned a few weeks ago, the Perito Moreno Glacier, located in the Santa Cruz province, Argentina, has already begun the rupture process. It was confirmed during the early hours of Saturday due to the reported water flow noises during the night by park rangers themselves.

It’s currently believed that the complete rupture process could happen during the next few hours. There is a high probability of this happening this Sunday, so we will be attentive to tell you the news as they arrive. For now, we can only recommend you follow the hashtag #ruptura2018 [2018 rupture] on Instagram, where several images and videos of ice calvings are shared during these days.
